Lappkärrsberget or "Lappis" is an area where Swedish and International students live together in several buildings. It’s located in the middle of Ekoparken, the National City Park, and is a ten-minute walk from Stockholm University. The area mainly has traditional halls of residence - single rooms in student corridors.

Cost:
Here are only single rooms available. Eight single rooms with bathrooms are reserved for exchange students at Södertörn University. Rent: around SEK 3400 - 3600 per month. The rent includes internet, water, heating, electricity and internet.
Equipment:
There is a laundry room in the building or in an adjacent building. 10-12 student rooms share communal a kitchen and dining room. In the kitchen, each student has a lockable cupboard, 1-2 additional cupboards, one shelf in the fridge and one in the freezer. Kitchen utensils are not included.
The room is furnished with:
- Bed and mattress (200cm x 90cm)
- Desk
- Lamp
- Chair
- Bookshelf
- The room has curtains and there is a shower curtain in the bathroom.
Please note that towels, bed linen, quilts and pillows are not included! During the orientation week you will be able to visit IKEA, where you can buy most things you might need for your room.
Notice period: the contract is for one or two semesters, depending on the duration of your stay. There is a two month notice period should you wish to terminate the contract. earlier.N.B. the notice period begins at the turn of the following month, not from the date you give notice.
Internet: Internet is included in the rent so all you need is a cable to connect it to your Laptop.
How to get there: From Södertörn University, take the commuter train from Flemingsberg to Stockholm Central Station (20 minutes). Stockholm Central Station is connected to T-centralen, the main metro station. From T-centralen you can catch the metro towards Mörby Centrum to "Universitetet" (4 stops), from where buses (N.50) run to Lappis every 15 minutes. You can also walk from Stockholm University in about 10 minutes.
In the neighbourhood: Lappis is situated close to a natural bathing area and a number of trails for walking and cycling. The area has its own grocery store and Stockholm city center is only 10 minutes away by metro. It is possible to buy a membership card for the gym situated on the Stockholm University campus.
