Abstract

  1. 2025/26 Discourses in Europe
  2. Abstract
Completion requirements

Migration has become one of the defining social realities shaping 21st-century Europe. Increased mobility and labor migration have diversified classrooms and challenged traditional educational paradigms. In this context, education systems have a responsibility to intervene to ensure inclusion, equity, and social cohesion.

This course examines the diverse challenges posed by migration, such as linguistic diversity, identity negotiation, and educational gaps, while exploring innovative policy frameworks and pedagogical responses across Europe. By combining theoretical information with comparative case studies and reflective discussions, students will analyze the educational barriers faced by migrant and refugee students and design interventions tailored to local contexts.
