This course was developed by Christina Otto (otto.christina@uni-jena.de) and Charlotte Steinke (charlotte.steinke@uni-jena.de) at the Office for Digital Transformation of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena in collaboration with the eTeach Network Thuringia.

When creating this course, we used AI applications in addition to the specified sources - for example, for spelling correction, shortening and linguistic revision of texts. The aim was to make the content understandable and suitable for the target group of students with no previous experience. For introductory texts, content and quiz questions, we used the ChatGPT 4.0 language model to create initial drafts, which were then edited and adapted several times.

The project was supported with advice and feedback from Dr. Anna Svet (Office for Digital Transformation), Dr. Jana Schleicher (Data Protection Officer), Dr. Florian Hesse, Dr. Gerrit Helm (Department of German Didactics), Dr. Oliver Mothes (THInKI – Thüringer Hochschulinitiative für KI im Studium), Dr. Volker Schwartze (Data Literacy Jena), Dr. Martin Kerntopf (Data Literacy Jena),  Martina Gerhardt (eTeach/Duale Hochschule Gera), Dorothea Warneck (eTeach/University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar), Dr. Kathrin Fritsche (Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena), Tim-Julius Anders (student assistant at Office for Digital Transformation of the University of Jena), as well as Emmy Kaiser and Otto Hannover (student assistants at the LehreLernen support office). As described in Module 3, the presentation of the tools was made possible with the support of Hochschule Nordhausen and genKI.
