8.1 Prelude

In the previous sessions you acquainted yourself with various approaches and tools in order to analyse pitfalls and possible misunderstandings in intercultural encounters. A thorough analysis is a basic requirement for finding ways and means of dealing with such situations. This session takes you a step further by introducing a model of finding a common ground of understanding and a space which enables participants to interact in an adequate, appropriate and meaningful way.
