You are about to conclude your professional and personal learning journey in intercultural communication and this is a good moment to look back in order to assess what you have achieved but also to look ahead into the future.
We developed this journey and its various paths with the aim of enabling you to analyse intercultural interactions and communication processes and use this analysis for developing a common ground of understanding. In other words, exploring the nature and effects of interculturality, use the potentials inherent in such encounters and be ready to cope with possible misunderstandings and confusions which may accrue from cultural differences.
So what has changed for you? Are you now better able to sense and explain irritations you may experience when coming across other cultural practices? Does the knowledge you acquired reduce the notion of unfamiliarity and strangeness you at times feel in intercultural encounters? And has this course helped you to develop skills to navigate intercultural interactions and communication processes well? These are questions we want to explore in this final session.
